The EXOGRID 3 has a new dimension of performance technology known as Flex-Band. Rather than thickening the walls of bats to bring them in line with BBCOR standards, Louisville Slugger has inserted a very light one-inch wide graphite band. Not only does this flex-band give the bat a low swing weight, but also the lowest swing weight available in its BBCOR hybrid class. The swing weight iis small enough that the sweet spot feels just like high performing BESR bats of the past.

This bat has AC21 Scandium Alloy which is one of the most durable and responsive alloys on the market. Moving toward the handle, you'll find that the metal is trimmed into a grid-like pattern and replaced with carbon composite inserts. These inserts are several times stronger than the metal they replace which gives the EXOGRID 3 not only its name, but also its unwavering durability. Inside the bat, there is an internal carbon composite sleeve providing a greater handle stiffness than alloy alone ever could.
