New for 2017, the Bauer Vapor X500 skate builds upon the concepts that made the 2015 Vapor line one of the top models of skates on the market, with new improvements for unmatched speed and quickness. The Bauer Vapor X500 is constructed using 3-D Trueform PU technology. This won’t be as stiff as the 1X youth skate, but will still provide protection and support for younger players. The X-Rib pattern will help provide a stiffer heel to lock the player’s foot in place. Memory foam ankle pads will line the ankle of the skate, providing comfort and support. This padding can also be molded using a skate oven for a quicker break in time and custom comfort feel. A Hydrophobic liner will coat the inside of the skate, helping keep the skate dry throughout the game. Connected to the boot will be the TPR outsole. This outsole helps the energy transfer from the foot though the skate. The Vapor X500 will also feature the Tuuk Lightspeed Pro holder and stainless steel runner. This runner is non-replaceable.
